These are the instructions to root Samsung Galaxy A5 SM-A500YZ (running on android 4.4.4, built id KTU84P.A500YZZTU1ANL2) using Rooting tool on Windows Computer.

Step 2: install the downloaded software tool

Step 9: Once your device is detected by Odin, click on the PDA button and select the CF-Auto-Root.tar file (you have downloaded this file in step#4).
Step 10: Now, click on the Start button in root tool to begin the Flashing.
Step 11: Flashing usually takes 30-50 seconds to complete the rooting process on your Samsung Galaxy A5 SM-A500YZ. Once Rooting process is completed you will be able to see a Green Box with Pass written on it. During this process Smartphone will re-boot automatically.
Step 12: Once you see, the Pass message, you can disconnect your Device from the computer.
